2017 CMCA/WAC Conference

2017 CMCA and WAC unite!

For the first time, OCSEA's Women Action and Minority and Community Affairs committees will come together to host a joint conference. The event, "Walking In Unity," will take place June 2-4 at Great Wolf Lodge near Cincinnati.

The WAC and CMCA committees work to take on the issues that face public employee women and minorities in the workplace. There will be particular focus on the upcoming contract negotiations and the attacks that aim to harm workers. This year’s conference theme is: “Walking in Unity

With such a great lineup of speakers for this year's combined WAC/CMCA conference, it's no wonder the block of rooms reserved at the Great Wolf Lodge in Mason, Ohio is already SOLD OUT! However, a limited number of rooms are available at a higher rate if you call RIGHT NOW at 866-954-9653. The rooms are now approximately $240 per night plus tax.

Others who wish to attend the conference and need a room can call the Comfort Inn, 5475 King Center Drive, Mason, OH at 513-336-9000 to inquire about their rates. However, rooms at the Comfort Inn will not include water park access to Great Wolf Lodge.


The registration fee is $100.00 and the deadline to register is May 26, 2017. We will not accept registrations without payment. No refunds will be given after the registration deadline. If you already have an OCSEA member ID badge please bring it with you. If you do not, you will get one at the conference.

Additional Information

You may purchase additional meal tickets for guests; however they must be purchased in advance. You must purchase meal tickets for children as well and children do not eat for free.  No meal tickets will be sold at the conference, no exceptions.  Also please indicate if you are a vegetarian on your registration form.

The meal prices are as follows:
Saturday Lunch: $23.00
Saturday Dinner: $33.00
Sunday Breakfast: $18.00
Child Meal Costs:   $10.00 (age 10 and under, age 11 and up same price as adult)
