Posted Jan. 31, 2017 by

If you’ve been hurt at the hands of an inmate or individual at a state institution or a fellow worker has, OCSEA leaders and members are encouraged to attend a special training to learn about victim services being offered. The Crime Victim Prevention and Assistance Section of the Ohio Attorney General’s Office will hold a training on Feb. 4 from 10 a.m.-noon at OCSEA Headquarters, 390 Worthington Rd., Westerville, OH 43082.

Attendees will learn how to help fellow employees report violent incidents, fill out a victim’s claim and learn about the kind of benefits and services offered to crime victims. Many services are available to victims of crime, including state employees, if they become victims of crime on the job. To sign up for the training, contact Shawn Gruber at sgruber@ocsea.org.
