OCSEA members who work at Ohio’s prison farms and their supporters will continue their protest of the state’s prison farm closures in Mansfield on Oct. 25. The event will be held from 9 a.m. to noon outside the Mansfield Correctional Institution.

The protest will coincide with the auction of state beef cattle. Previous auctions of dairy cattle and equipment by the DR&C and the Kasich administration have prompted similar protests. The union continues to speak out about the mass sale of state assets for bottom dollar prices.
