AFSCME is currently accepting applications for the 2018 Family Scholarship Program. Ten scholarships of $2,000 each will be awarded annually and renewed each year for a max of four years, and can be used for any field of study. The deadline is Dec. 31, 2017. Apply now at AFSCME.org/family.
The scholarships are for the children of full dues-paying AFSCME members, including OCSEA members. One of last year's winners of an AFSCME Family Scholarship was Gabrielle Jones, the daughter of OCSEA member and Ohio Dept. of Heath Physicist, Michelle Postiy. The member-only scholarship will assist Jones who began attending John Carroll University this fall.
