Posted May 7, 2018 by

This year’s Correction Officer of the Year ceremony honored the best and the brightest from around the state. The Ronald C. Marshall Award Ceremony banquet was held at the Corrections Training Academy in London yesterday where Correction Officers of the Year from all 25 state institutions were in attendance.

From the ranks of the 25 COs, only one went on to become the statewide Correction Officer of the Year. This year, that person was Correction Officer Michelle Miller from Dayton Correctional Institution. Officer Miller is a member of the DCI SRT and has done an outstanding job teaching courses on Security Threat Groups, Active Aggressor, DT/SC/Cell Extraction and Immobilizing Restraints. She also coaches new employees during the OJT orientation phase. Congratulations to Officer Miller! See event photo gallery.
