Labor Gives Back: Members open hearts to those in need

Posted Dec. 22, 2017 by

It's the season of giving and OCSEA activists and members continue to show the depth of their generosity. Just as they do every year (and all year long), OCSEA chapters are hard at work this holiday season making sure that local charities have the resources they need.

Subordinate bodies like Allen Chapter 0200, Dixie Chapter 4220, and Meigs Chapter 5300 are opening their hearts and their wallets to the organizations that care for community members who need it most during the holiday season.Check out OCSEA Facebook page all season long for labor gives back stories. And go HERE if you are an OCSEA member or chapter with a charitable giving story to tell!

OCSEA Sec-Treas. holds Bear drive for children of domestic violence

Yet again, the teddy bear and stuffed toy drive led by OCSEA's Secretary-Treasurer Kathy Stewart was a resounding success. Stewart's "Creature Comforts!" donations go out to domestic violence shelters across Ohio to comfort children. Thousand of donations by subordinate bodies and members will give the youngest victims of domestic violence something to hold onto when all around them has been disrupted. Special kudos to the ODOT Assembly for their generous donation. See the toys as OCSEA members and staff prepare for their delivery.
