The Ohio General Assembly has put in place a plan that will continue Ohio primary voting by mail until April 28, 2020. There will be no in-person voting except on a limited basis on April 28 for people covered by the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA). This limited in-person voting will only take place at county boards of elections early vote centers, NOT at precinct polling locations.
Those Ohioans who have not yet voted in the Ohio Primary must request an absentee ballot from your local board of elections. That can be done HERE. If you already voted in-person or by mail before March 17, 2020, you do not need to vote again. All ballots already cast will count, so long as they were otherwise valid, according to the Ohio Secretary of State.
Gov. Mike DeWine and Ohio Department of Health Director Dr. Amy Acton ordered polling locations closed on March 17 as part of the state’s response to the coronavirus/COVID-19 outbreak.
