A #TaxScam bill is headed to President Trump’s desk that’s the most unpopular tax bill in U.S. history. The reasons for its unpopularity are clear: the bill increases the taxes on the lower and middle classes; kicks 13 million people off of health care; gives huge, permanent tax cuts to wealthy corporations, especially those with commercial real estate holdings like the President; encourages offshoring of jobs; and automatically makes cuts to Medicare for seniors.
In short, the bill gives 83 percent of the tax cuts to the richest 1 percent of Americans. No wonder it’s being universally panned by the country’s working families. Americans for Tax Fairness has done an in-depth analysis where you can learn more about how the middle class is getting hosed.
