The State of Ohio Employee Open Enrollment period is underway now through May 29, 2020 at 7 p.m. This time allows employees the
opportunity to enroll or make election changes in the
following health care coverage and additional benefits:
- Medical, which includes Behavioral Health,
Prescription Drug, and Wellness
- Dental, Vision & Supplemental Life Insurance (provided at no-cost to you through your Union Benefits Trust)
Open Enrollment is the time for you to:
Verify your plans and dependents covered under those plans, sign up for or double check your supplemental life insurance coverage amounts, approve or update your beneficiaries, and look at your legal plan enrollment options.
Once the enrollment period ends, employees will receive confirmation letters regarding their coverage. Even if you make no changes
during open enrollment, you must
review your confirmation letter
to be sure your benefit choices
and dependents are up to date.
The confirmation letter confirms
your benefits and covered dependents for the benefit period July
1, 2020 through June 30, 2021 unless
you have a qualified event. If your
benefit choices are not correct or
dependents are missing, you have
until 5 p.m. on July 31, 2020 to
submit any corrections. Otherwise, your will have to wait until the next enrollment period to make updates.
