Submit Convention Committee Preferences ASAP
To be considered for an OCSEA 36th Biennial Convention committee, elected convention delegates can submit their committee preference requests now. Please note: Given the size of our convention delegation, not all delegates will receive a committee assignment.
Click HERE for access to the official Committee Preference Form.
Please share the Committee Preference Form link with all of the elected convention delegates within your subordinate body.
Reminder! You will be contacted directly by OCSEA if you are assigned to a convention committee.
Contact Gina Ison at gison@ocsea.org with any questions about committees.
Singers needed for OCSEA Convention in August
Love to sing? Maybe you're in a church choir, community chorale group or a soloist in a band. The OCSEA Convention Committee is looking for members to volunteer as singers at the OCSEA Convention in August. Delegates to convention would be preferable, but it is not required.
The performance days would be on either Thursday, August 28 or Friday, August 29. Both performances would take place in the morning session before the start of convention business. The Thursday performance would entail kicking off convention with the National Anthem and the Friday performance would entail singing America the Beautiful.
If you are an OCSEA member and a singer who would like to be considered, contact Deirdre O'Neill-Wedig at 614-865-2604 or doneill@ocsea.org. Demos of performances are always encouraged.

Jean Fightmaster Leadership Award
Nomination Deadline: July 18, 2025 deadline HAS PASSED
To celebrate life and union legacy of activist Jean Fightmaster, OCSEA has created The Jean Fightmaster Leadership Award, which will be awarded at the 36th Biennial Convention in Cleveland in August. Jean, who passed away in 2023, was revered by her friends and colleagues as a “force of nature” and a dedicated union activist who truly embodied her last name.
