The OCSEA Steward Conference is Saturday, June 7, 2024, in person, at the Renaissance Columbus Westerville-Polaris Hotel. The conference will provide union leaders and stewards with important networking opportunities and skill-building to be taken back and applied immediately at the chapter level. The main session will take place on Saturday, June 7 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with pre-conference trainings taking place the evening of Friday, June 6. Scroll below to view the tentative agenda.
Registration
The 2025 OCSEA Steward Conference registration deadline is May 30, 2025. Use the link below to sign up for the conference and pre-conference trainings.
Pre-conference trainings
There will be two pre-conference union trainings held the evening of Friday, June 6 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The trainings are in person AND are limited to 70 people each. Register soon as they will fill up quickly.
The pre-conference trainings will include: one (1) Basic Steward Training (70 person limit) and one (1) New Contract Training (70 person limit). The trainings will take place at the hotel. Please note: You must register in ADVANCE for these trainings. No drop ins are permitted. There will only be enough training materials for those who sign up in advance via the registration link.
Overnight Accommodations
Overnight lodging for the conference will be held at the Renaissance Hotel at 490 Altair Parkway, Westerville, OH 43082. For those wanting to register for a room, the cost is $174.00 plus tax. The deadline to book a room at the Steward Conference rate is May 16, 2025.
Steward Re-Certification
Chapter-appointed stewards who attend the entire Steward Conference will receive their official OCSEA Steward Re-Certification. This certification is good for two years. If you have questions about steward certification, contact Judi Ayers at 614-865-2656 or email jayers@ocsea.org.
