Getting to know your union!
As a newly-hired public employee, it's the perfect time to learn about YOUR union and benefits and opportunities afforded to you as a member of OCSEA!
Join us for a virtual new member orientation!
The live webinars run once every two weeks: every other Thursday from noon to 1 p.m. New union employees only need to attend one orientation and can attend this one-hour session on work time.
- If you are already a member with a MyOCSEA account, you can access an RSVP link for the an orientation above. Once on RSVP site (via Zoom®), access the pull down menu to find a future date that works for you. Member sign-in required.
- Not a member yet and want to learn more? Contact the Member Resource Center (MRC) about attending an upcoming NEO. Email the MRC today to schedule your orientation.
- Need to sign an OCSEA membership card? Go HERE.
The NEOs are led by seasoned union activists. During the one-hour training, presenters go over how the union works, what the union does to protect members and fight for fair treatment and all the benefits of being a union member. The session will offer plenty of time for questions and discussion and will not last longer than an hour. Managers should permit participants to take part on work time.
Ever since the new virtual NEOs began late last year, the union has already introduced hundreds of new OCSEA members to the benefits of being union. The webinar is also open to anyone who wants to learn more about the benefits of being union or getting involved.
If you have any questions about the union, your membership or the new employee orientation, please contact our Member Resource Center at 888-OCSEA-11 or MRC@ocsea.org.
