Union members and allies from across the nation came to together last week for the
AFL-CIO Convention amid a rising tide of energy and growing demand for real answers to the serious challenges working people face.
The crisis before us is significant, union leaders said, but they were able to identify opportunities to build unions and make workers' voices heard. It will take all union members coming together in solidarity to win, said AFL-CIO Pres. Richard Trumpka, who was elected to another term to lead the national union. AFSCME's Pres. Lee Saunders says that UNIONS are KEY to getting back to normal! See the convention wrap up.
