No out-of-pocket cost for Most members! Low cost for family, other members

OCSEA members have been asking for it, and now it’s finally here: a low-cost bachelor’s degree program for members and their families!

OCSEA is partnering with Central State University, near Dayton, to bring members a bachelor’s degree, totally FREE for Union Education Trust-eligible OCSEA members and at an extremely reduced rate for family members and other OCSEA members (no more than $4,000 out of pocket per year, and often less).

OCSEA members in good standing (including retirees), their children, grandchildren, spouses and domestic partners are all eligible to receive the OCSEA Student Success Grant that keeps the cost either free or very low. Family members do NOT need to be financial dependents or living with the member to be eligible.

There are two bachelor’s areas of study available for 2019:

  • Business Management
  • Teacher Education Licensure and Non-licensure (PK-5th grade)

Additional degree programs will be announced as they become available.

The college is fully accredited and credits are transferable. All courses are conducted 100 percent online, making going back to school for busy members and families even easier.

Complete an inquiry form and learn more about eligibility, applying for aid, contact information and more at OCSEAEducation.org/CSU.
