This month, OCSEA members overwhelmingly approved their state contract, with nine out of every ten members voting yes. The date for all non-economic provisions officially went into effect on May 12. In accordance with the contract, economic changes of shift differential and wages will take place during the pay period including July 1. The vacation cash out, a new element of the state contract, will be effective for the first time in December of 2019.
