Janus vs. AFSCME decision expected tomorrow

Posted Jun. 26, 2018 by

Tomorrow, June 27, a ruling is expected from the Supreme Court of the United States in the case, Janus v. AFSCME. If Mark Janus and the national Right-to-Work groups prevail, this decision will make it easier for anti-worker extremists to rig the economy and try to further divide working people.

But no matter how the court rules, public employee union members are standing up across this great nation! Members are speaking out loud and proud: No court case can stop us!

Unions are our last defense to fight for the good, public jobs that our communities need. And OCSEA is ready to stand up for its members, no matter what the court says.

“Strong unions make our communities stronger. They’re the best––and sometimes the only––route to the middle class,” said Jim Larocca, a Cleveland Lottery employee.

"Just like with Senate Bill 5, no group of extremists will change our members’ resolve to stick together and lift up our collective voices. Really, it will only make our resolve and our fight stronger!" said OCSEA President Chris Mabe. See updates at ocsea.org/janus
