Please join activists at the Southern Ohio Correctional Facility in Lucasville on Wednesday, May 31 from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. as they picket to protest unsafe working conditions at the facility. Violence has been on the rise in the maximum-security prison and drug use has escalated with no end in sight. At the same time, managers have dealt with under staffing by attempting to end-run the union contract, while mandatory overtime remains a security risk. Please come show your support for our Corrections staff.
On this Thursday, May 25, a poster making event for the picket will take place at OCSEA Headquarters from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Refreshments will be served.
