OCSEA's nine districts have begun screening candidates for Ohio House and Senate district seats for the 2018 General Election in November. The screenings are held in each district by the District Grassroots Committee delegates. They question and rank candidates on their commitment to fighting for union members, public employees and the public services they provide.
Once each district's screening is completed, DGC delegates make recommendations to the statewide OCSEA Board of Directors’ Governmental Affairs Committee, which makes the union's final endorsements.
