Ohioans know exactly what will happen if we don't fund the frontlines. Essential workers, including public employees, and the services they provide will suffer greatly and hurt those who need the most help right now.
A recent poll conducted for AFSCME finds that 67 percent of Ohioans from across the political spectrum want Congress to provide at least $1 trillion in aid to states, cities, towns and schools. The survey also shows voters strongly disapprove of letting states simply declare bankruptcy to avoid providing services during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Take some time this week to speak out for the front-line workers. Call Sen. Rob Portman and tell him not to get distracted. Tell him to fund the front-lines, including essential public services needed to rebuild the economy and keep Ohio safe and healthy. Tell Sen. Portman that public service workers are doing their part, now it's time for the Senate to do theirs. Call 888-981-9704 or take action HERE!
