The Affordable Care act helps OCSEA members too

Posted Feb. 27, 2017 by

If you’re an OCSEA member under either the state or a local contract or an OCSEA retiree, you are already receiving benefits from the Affordable Care Act, or Obamacare. Under the ACA, all Americans, including OCSEA members and retirees, are entitled to the “Ten Essential Health Benefits.”

These benefits include coverage for pre-existing conditions, free preventative coverage for young adults to age 26, no cancellation or lifetime limits on care and caps on out-of-pocket expenses. The ACA also helps OCSEA retirees, who worked hard for their Medicare benefits. Read more at OCSEA.org/ACA.
