Workers Memorial Day means even more in a pandemic

Posted Apr. 28, 2020 by

Especially in the middle of a global pandemic, it’s imperative that we heed Mother Jones' words and honor the dead by fighting like hell for the living.

Today, April 28, is Workers' Memorial Day, and we are heart-achingly reminded of the sacrifices workers make to keep our communities strong, healthy and safe. Today, and every day, we must demand that frontline and essential workers across this country, and across the globe, not only receive the respect they truly deserve, but the resources and equipment they need to stay alive and well when going to work.
