Legislators want to cut Ohio unemployment compensation

Anti-worker legislators are at it again. Now a new committee will have its sights set on cutting Ohio Unemployment Compensation for Ohioans who are out of work. Last time, legislators tried to lower the number of weeks workers could get the benefit, a cut that would have slashed 40 percent of workers’ benefit. The first hearing on the fund cut took place on Aug. 25 at the Ohio Statehouse. OCSEA members attended in opposition to the measure that hurts already hurting Ohioans.
