The Cincinnati Labor Council has announced the triumphant return of a cherished tradition, its Labor Day family picnic––the first since the pandemic and since the closure of Coney Island. The Cincinnati AFL-CIO's 2025 Labor Day Weekend Family Picnic Basket Celebration will be held on Saturday, August 30 from Noon to 6 p.m. at Stricker's Grove! The labor council invites all union members and their families for a day of fun celebrating labor's hard work! The event location is 11490 Hamilton-Cleves Road, Hamilton, Ohio 45013.
Tickets are $25 per person (2 years and under are free) and include parking, rides, mini golf, soft drinks, popcorn, snow cones, cotton candy, and ice cream. Stricker's Grove is a family-owned amusement park located in Hamilton County. Unlike other amusement parks, Stricker's Grove is closed to the public for most of the year. Instead, it is rented out for private functions like this celebration. It is the home of the Hamilton County Community Fair. It has a variety of rides and games for all ages, including two roller coasters, The Tornado and The Teddy Bear, originally located at Coney Island in Cincinnati. Stricker's Grove also has an 18 hole miniature golf, arcade with video games and skeeball, shooting gallery, and horseshoes.
