The union ODJFS teleworking committee has just received an update from ODJFS management regarding the dates of bringing Phase 2 Teleworkers back into offices. In that proposal, management has identified some current teleworkers that could have a closer commute if those employees agree to changing their headquarter county.
ODJFS management has indicated that a state email informing eligible teleworkers of this option will go out to identified teleworkers on Monday, April 30, 2018. The email will also contain contact information of union leadership so that identified teleworkers may reach out for one-on-one communication with any questions or concerns before making a decision. Their decision will be voluntary.
Management is asking for a decision from the identified teleworkers by no later than Friday, May 4, 2018. Once all the necessary information is collected and confirmed, management will inform the union ODJFS teleworking committee of the official dates for returning teleworkers to the office for Phase 2.
Please note, the union has been assured by ODJFS management that this two-step process will not negatively impact those in Phase 3. To date there have been no discussions between the union and management about Phase 3 dates.
The union ODJFS teleworking committee consists of OCSEA/ODJFS Assembly President Cindy Hill, Michelle Smith, Jackie Stuckert and Jeanie Miller.
