"Watch Dog" agencies never quit keeping Ohioans safe

OCSEA members in Ohio's regulatory agencies, boards and commissions keep Ohioans safe, secure, healthy and so much more. Three of these OCSEA members were recently spotlighted in the OCSEA magazine.

Meet Dave Katko. As an Attorney for the Ohio Medical Board, Dave Never Quits serving Ohio. He has helped catch the "bad guys." Not the typical bad guys though, but the doctors and others in the medical field who have broken the law and harmed Ohioans.

Meet Maria Lucente. As an Environmental Specialist 2 for the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency, Maria works in the Division of Drinking and Ground Water and approves engineering plans for drinking water treatment plants. She and her colleagues oversee compliance of standards for the water we drink every day and inspect treatment facilities to make sure they are following the rules and keeping our water safe.

Meet Ki Taylor. As a employee with the Ohio State Board of Cosmetology, Ki makes sure that the services we enjoy and splurge our good money on, like manicures, pedicures, haircuts and more, are done in clean and safe facilities by highly trained individuals.
